Dr. Greg and Lisa Popcak

Dr. Gregory Popcak, who co-hosts More2Life with his wife Lisa, is the Executive Director of the Pastoral Solutions Institute, an organization dedicated to helping Catholics find faith-filled solutions to tough marriage, family, and personal problems. The author of over a dozen popular books integrating solid Catholic theology and counseling psychology (including; For Better…FOREVER!, Holy Sex!, Parenting with Grace, Beyond the Birds and the Bees), Dr. Popcak is an expert on the practical applications of the Theology of the Body. Through the Pastoral Solutions Institute, he directs a group pastoral tele-counseling practice that provides ongoing pastoral psychotherapy services to Catholic couples, individuals and families around the world.

Since 2001, he and his wife and co-author, Lisa Popcak, have hosted several nationally-syndicated, call-in radio advice programs including Heart, Mind and Strength (Ave Maria Radio), Fully Alive! (Sirius/XM-The Catholic Channel), and most recently, More2Life. They have also hosted two for EWTN (For Better…FOREVER! & God Help Me!). Dr. Popcak’s articles appear regularly in Catholic periodicals such as Catholic Digest, Family Foundations, and others. Dr. Greg Popcak and Lisa Popcak are sought after public speakers and trainers and have been honored to address audiences across North America, Australia, and Hong Kong.

In addition to his ministry work, Dr. Popcak serves as adjunct faculty for both the sociology and graduate theology departments at Franciscan University of Steubenville where he teaches Christianity and Society and Pastoral and Spiritual Direction respectively. He also serves as adjunct faculty in the doctoral program of the Harold Abel School of Behavioral Health at Capella University.

Lisa Popcak, CFLC is the Vice-President of the Pastoral Solutions Institute. She is a professional educator, a lactation consultant, and Certified Family-Life Coach. An expert in learning styles/strategies, early childhood development, adoptive family issues, and women’s spirituality, she is the co-author of two books (including; Parenting with Grace: A Catholic Parent’s Guide to Raising (almost) Perfect Kids (1st & 2nd editions) and Beyond the Birds and the Bees: Raising Sexually Whole and Holy Children). Since 2001, together with her husband, Dr. Greg Popcak, she has hosted several nationally-syndicated, call-in radio advice programs including Heart, Mind and Strength (Ave Maria Radio), Fully Alive!         Bishop , Diocese of Steubenville, Ohio

        Jeffrey Marc Monforton was born on May 5, 1963 in Detroit to Marc Louis Monforton and Virginia Rose (Ackerman) Monforton. He is the eldest of three sons. David is the middle son and Daniel is the youngest. Bishop Monforton attended Tinkham Elementary School in Westland, Michigan, followed by his attendance at John Marshall Junior High and graduation from Wayne Memorial High School in Wayne, Michigan. Bishop Jeffery Monforton attended Wayne State University after which he entered Sacred Heart Major Seminary and subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 1989. While residing at the North American College in Rome he received his Bachelors in Sacred Theology (STB) in 1992 and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Later, as a priest, he was awarded a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. On June 25, 1994, Bishop was ordained a priest at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Detroit, by Archbishop Adam Maida. Following ordination, he served in the Archdiocese of Detroit as associate pastor at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, Royal Oak, from 1994 through 1996. He also served on the faculty at the parish high school for two academic years in the Department of Religion. Bishop Monforton served as personal priest secretary to Cardinal Adam Maida for seven years, from 1998-2005. In addition to his responsibilities to Cardinal Maida, since 2002, he has been a member of the Sacred Heart Major Seminary faculty. Weekend assistant assignments included St. Paul on the Lake, Grosse Pointe Farms, from 1998-2002 and St. Jane Frances de Chantal, Sterling Heights, from 2002-2005. In April 2005, he traveled with Cardinal Maida to the Vatican and remained there for the funeral Mass of Pope John Paul II, the conclave and the election of Pope Benedict XVI. Bishop Monforton became pastor of St. Therese of Lisieux Church, Shelby Township, on July 1, 2005. Also in 2005, Pope Benedict XVI conferred the title of Monsignor upon him as Chaplain to His Holiness. He was named an Apostolic Visitor by the Congregation for Catholic Education to participate in the recent Apostolic Visitation of United States' seminaries and houses of formation in the academic year of 2005-2006. In 2006, Bishop Monforton became a member of the Madonna University Board of Trustees. Bishop Jeffrey Monforton was named by cardinal Maida the twelfth rector of Sacred Heart Major Seminary on August 24, 2006. He was formally installed as rector on October 29. Since 2008, he has been a Board Member of the American Friends of the Vatican Library. He was invested as a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in Chicago, Illinois of September of 2011. Bishop Monforton concluded his six-year term as Sacred Heart's rector on May 5, 2012. He served as pastor of St. Andrew Parish in Rochester, Michigan for only two short months before being named as the fifth Bishop of Steubenville. He was ordained and installed as bishop on September 10, 2012. Since his appointment as Bishop of Steubenville he has also been appointed to the Board of Governors of the Pontifical North American College in Rome, November 2012, and to the United States Conference of Bishops subcommittee on Aid to the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, also November 2012. He was also named to the Saint Vincent Seminary Board of Regents, in Latrobe, Pa., in April 2013.

        Bill completed the Institute' Speakers Training program in 2005 and our Head & Heart Immersion Course in January 2006. Bill's presentation of Introduction to Theology of the Body has been described as "riveting" and " life -changing". He applies his Masters Degree in Systematic Theology along with his extensive minstry work and love for the Church and its teachings to present John Paul II' s Theology of the Body to your community. Bill has worked in the fields of mission and evangelization in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia since 1999. Through his work with the Pontifical Mission Societies, Bill has given hundreds of talks on the spirituality of mission to young people throughout the greater Philadelphia area and beyond. He has experienced the love of Christ in the missions of Haiti, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic as well as within the realms of Young Adult and Parish ministry in Philadelphia. In October of 2000, Bill was chosen to represent his country in a special tribute for the Jubilee of Missionaries in Rome. He was given a simple cross by Pope John Paul II and called by the Holy Father to “bring Jesus back to your country.” He is filled with a passion for his faith and dedicated to spreading the joy of the New Evangelization. Bill's talks range from the mystery of the Eucharist, the Theology of the Body, and the art of prayer, to living a dynamic Catholic life in our present culture. Believing Adult Faith Formation to be an integral part of the New Evangelization, he's developed the six-week course "Into the Deep," which unpacks the major themes of Pope John Paul II's vision for the New Millennium. Bill holds an Associates Degree in Visual Arts, a Bachelors in Philosophy and a Masters in Systematic Theology. He teaches theology at Malvern Prepatory High School and Immaculata University in Exton, PA. He is also an instructor for the Theology of the Body Institute's Certification Program.         , Tabor Life Institute

        Fr. Thomas J Loya, is currently the pastor of Annunciation of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Parish in Homer Glen, IL. He is also the host of two radio programs; “Light of the East” which can be heard in more than 60 cities across the United Staes on several Catholic radio networks including EWTN Radio as well as “A Body of Truth” which is broadcast on an Internet Radio Site – catholicradiointernational.com. Before entering the seminary Fr. Loya earned a degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art and pursued a career in commercial art and design. He later completed his studies for the priesthood in both Pennsylvannia and Rome where he attended the North American College earning an STB from the Angelicum University. During his time in Rome, Fr. Loya was first exposed to Pope John Paul II’s monumental teaching on the human person when he attended his weekly audiences about The Theology of the Body. Fr. Loya was ordained in 1982 and later added to his Bachelor of Fine Arts by earning a Masters in Counseling and Human Services in 1993. Fr. Loya has served the Church in youth and young adult ministry as well as an artist and design consultant. He has directed many retreats and has been a guest speaker at several conventions including World Youth Day 2002. Using his backround in art, counseling, and Eastern Catholic spirituality, Fr. Loya brings the principles of The Theology of the Body deep into the lived experience of every aspect of human sexuality.

        Dr. Joseph White converted to the Catholic Faith while in graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University and later studied Catholic Theology at St. Mary's University in San Antonio.         Jacob Popcak, M.A., L.P.C. is a counseling associate of the Pastoral Solutions Institute. Jacob holds a Masters in Arts for Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and has received advanced training in marriage therapy from the Gottman Institute, training in counseling for depression and anxiety disorders (Beck Institute, CBT for Depression and Anxiety), and holds certifications in both Christian Counseling (Franciscan University of Steubenville) and treating online addictions (Zur Institute). Prior to joining PSI, Jacob served as a therapist in a variety of outpatient counseling settings where he practiced intensive therapy with individuals, couples, children, trauma patients, and families suffering a variety of emotional and relational problems. He has spoken across the country about Pope Saint John Paul II's Theology of the Body and has trained at the Theology of the Body Institute (TOB 1-3). He is the former co-host of the Son Rise Morning Show on EWTN, where, in addition to hosting and interviewing newsmakers both in the Church and around the world, he presented practical meditations on the gospels.
